Traffic Collision Resulted In a Critically Injured Juvenile 
On August 12, 2024, at approximately 2315 hours, Simi Valley Police Department officers responded to a single-vehicle traffic collision in the 4500 block of Los Angeles Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the vehicle had veered off the road and collided with a tree. The male juvenile driver, who was the sole occupant, was taken to a local trauma center and is in critical condition. A preliminary investigation showed no signs of impairment and the investigation is still on-going.

Update: The juvenile driver involved in the accident on Los Angeles Ave. unfortunately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The 17 year old male driver was a Simi Valley resident and a student of the Simi Valley Unified School District. The Simi Valley Police Department send our condolences to the family and friends affected by this tragic accident.
