INCIDENT: P.C. 25850(C)(6)- Carrying a Loaded Handgun, P.C. 29800(A)(1)- Felon in Possession of a Firearm, P.C. 30305(A)(1)- Person Prohibited from Owning Ammunition
LOCATION: 14100 block of Green Tree Blvd, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Carl James Lewis, 27-year-old Resident of Adelanto
SUMMARY: On Thursday, August 15, 2024, at approximately 2:07 a.m. deputies from the Victorville Police Department were dispatched to the Green Tree Inn for a suspicious male standing in the parking lot, yelling he was going to shoot someone.
Upon arrival, deputies located a subject who matched the description of the suspicious person in the Green Tree Inn parking lot. The subject, who was later identified as Carl James Lewis, fled on foot through the Golf course, leading deputies on a foot pursuit. Lewis was apprehended and taken into custody without incident. Deputies located a 9mm Smith and Wesson pistol on Lewis. Lewis is a convicted felon and prohibited from owning or possessing firearms or ammunition.
Carl James Lewis was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, for P.C. 25850(C)(6)- Carrying a Loaded Handgun, P.C. 29800(A)(1)- Felon in Possession of a Firearm, P.C. 30305(A)(1)- Person Prohibited from Owning Ammunition.
