INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Soquel Canyon Parkway and Pomona Rincon Road, Chino Hills, CA
INVOLVED PARTY(S): Joshua Jacobs, 37-year-old Male, Resident of Chino Hills, Driver- Motorcycle
40-year-old Female, Resident of Diamond Bar, Driver- Honda
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at approximately 7:50 p.m., deputies with the Chino Hills Station responded to the intersection of Soquel Canyon Parkway and Pomona Rincon Road in the city of Chino Hills, regarding a traffic collision. Deputies learned the driver of a Yamaha motorcycle broadsided a Honda Accord in the intersection.
The motorcycle driver, Joshua Jacobs, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Chino Valley Fire Department. The female driver of the Honda sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital for care.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) responded and conducted the investigation. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
