On the evening of August 6, 2024, Gilroy officers responded to a home on the 7600 block of Rea Street for a death investigation involving an adult female. This morning (August 15), the Gilroy/ Morgan Hill SWAT team executed a high-risk search warrant at the home to collect additional evidence and conduct additional follow-up. During the operation, an adult male was arrested at the residence for an unrelated warrant.
This is an active and ongoing suspicious death investigation, and we are unable to provide additional information at this time. We are working closely with the Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner-Coroner to determine the cause of death.
