INCIDENT: PC 29800(a)(1), Felon in Possession of a Firearm
LOCATION: Balsa Avenue and Maki Avenue, Yucca Valley
SUSPECT 1: Jesse Lucas Palacios, 29-year-old male, resident of Yucca Valley
SUSPECT 2: Bronte Ray Granell, 32-year-old female, resident of Yucca Valley
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, August 15, 2024, deputies conducted a vehicle check near Balsa Avenue and Maki Avenue in Yucca Valley. During the check, deputies encountered Jesse Lucas Palacios and Bronte Ray Granell. A records check revealed that Palacios was on felony probation.
Deputies conducted a probation search of the vehicle and located a loaded and unserialized 9mm Glock-style pistol with a high-capacity magazine.
Palacios and Granell were found to be convicted felons and prohibited from possessing firearms. As a result, they were arrested for PC 29800(a)(1) Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and booked at the Morongo Basin Jail.
