Special Weather Statement until 07:00PM

At 632 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Hepler to near St. Paul to near Cherryvale. Movement was east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Joplin, Pittsburg, Webb City, Prairie State Park, Carl Junction, Baxter Springs, Frontenac, Columbus, Galena, Girard, Oronogo, Carterville, Duquesne, Arma, Liberal, Loma Linda, Cherokee, Airport Drive, Weir, and Leawood. This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 0 and 11.
