* Until 845 PM EDT.

* At 743 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles east of Spruce Pine to 8 miles southwest of Marion to 6 miles east of Downtown Asheville, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.
