Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a single UTV crash on Brush Lake Road at approximately 1437 hours on 08/18/2024. 
The crash occurred on the dirt road portion of Brush Lake Road., Pokagon Township, Cass County, Michigan. The investigation showed that a UTV driven by a male juvenile, lost control on the rocks of the dirt road, and rolled the UTV onto its top.
 
The male juvenile driver did not sustain any injuries.  His passenger, another male juvenile, was transported to South Bend Memorial for minor injuries sustained in the crash.
 
Assisting agencies on scene were Indian Lake Fire department, Eau Claire Fire Department, Pokagon Tribal Police, Michigan State Police, Berrien County Sheriff’s Department, and Medic 1 Ambulance.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
