Fair Lawn Emergency Management is monitoring another round of showers and thunder storms that are beginning to form over eastern Pennsylvania. Impacts locally are expected later this afternoon and into the early evening around the 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. time frame. Forecasts showing an expected ½ of an inch with some local area reaching closer to ¾ if an inch of precipitation. Winds predicted to be 18mph gusting to 25mph. As this system moves out later this evening, this cold front will drop temps to the low 60s.

Keep in mind, the already saturated ground and elevated streams from our recent weather impacts. Local poor drainage areas and roadways are sensitive to any additional precipitation. 

If you experience a power outage, please call PSE&G directly at 1-800-436-7734.  Register for MyAlerts from PSE&G to report outages and receive text/email updates about the status of the power outage. Text "REG" to 4PSEG (47734). Do not call the Police Department to report a power outage or to ask when power will be restored. 

Please be sure to take appropriate mitigation actions to protect flood prone properties.
