INCIDENT: PC 664/187: ATTEMPT MURDER
LOCATION: 10600 Block of Chesterfield, Adelanto
SUSPECT: Reymundo Cota, 25-years-old, Resident of Spring Valley, California
SUMMARY:
On Monday, August 19, 2024, at 1:13am, deputies responded to a 911 call in the 10600 block of Chesterfield Street in Adelanto. According to the caller, they could hear people screaming at the residence and they believed someone needed help.
When deputies arrived at the residence, they located a 20-year-old male adult suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Through the investigation, deputies learned the victim had been stabbed by his brother, Reymundo Cota, during a family argument.
While at the location, deputies located an illegal marijuana grow inside the house. An electricity bypass and multiple code violations were also found. Three small children were living inside the residence with direct access to the marijuana grow. The children were turned over to the custody of Child Protective Services.
Reymundo Cota was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center. He is currently being held in lieu of $1,000,000.00 bail.
