Occupied Residential Burglary-Manor Avenue 
On August 20th, 2024 at approximately 6:26 AM the Cranford Police Department was dispatched to a Manor Avenue residence for a report of a residential burglary and motor vehicle theft after the fact.
It was later determined by responding officers that the suspect(s) entered the residence through a rear first-floor window, stole keys to the victim's BMW, and left the scene with the BMW. The residents were home at the time of this overnight burglary.
The Cranford Police Department and other surrounding police agencies within Union County have seen an uptick in BMWs being targeted by vehicle thieves. Please continue to remove key fobs from your vehicles when they are parked. Also, check that your security cameras are operational.
