Lancaster Sheriff’s Station was informed of a traffic crash at 20th Street West and Avenue K. Responding deputies located a white Chevrolet Malibu and a black Chevrolet Camaro with significant damage at the scene.
 
Preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the Chevrolet Malibu was traveling northbound on 20th Street West at a high rate of speed and failed to stop for solid red traffic. The Chevrolet Camaro was broadsided, and both drivers involved were transported to Antelope Valley Medical Center with severe injuries. While at the hospital, both drivers succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased.
 
It is unknown if alcohol or drugs played a factor in this crash. Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to contact the Traffic Investigators at Lancaster Sheriff’s Station by calling 661-948-8466.
