Please be advised, Observer Highway is currently closed between Madison and Monroe Streets due to an overnight water main break. Veolia is on the scene and repairs are underway. The six-inch break has been isolated and the pipe has been replaced. Roadwork is anticipated to continue into the morning commute and expected to impact traffic, especially in southwest Hoboken.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and use alternate northern routes when entering and exiting Hoboken until repairs are complete and the road is reopened.
Planned construction and road closures on Jersey Avenue in Hoboken and Jersey City have been cancelled for today.
