Wilmington Police arrest man in connection to April stabbing incident:
Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection to an April stabbing incident following an investigation.
On April 25, at 10:30 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division received a call regarding a stabbing incident that occurred in the 300 block of New Castle Avenue. Police located a 25-year-old male suffering from multiple stab wounds, who arrived to the hospital in stable condition. The case was assigned to Detective Thomas Rittenhouse of the Criminal Investigations Division.
Through the course of his investigation, Detective Rittenhouse identified 22-year-old Jyaire Henry as a suspect, and obtained warrants for his arrest. On August 16, police executed a search warrant in the 1100 block of King James Court in Bear, DE and took Henry into custody without incident.
Henry has been charged with the following offenses:
- Attempted Murder (First Degree)
- Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
