Dense Fog Advisory until 11:00AM

* WHAT...For the Dense Fog Advisory, visibility less than one half mile in dense fog. For the first Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 105 expected. For the second Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 102 expected.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, Murray, Nobles, Pipestone, and Rock Counties. In South Dakota, Moody County.

* WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 11 AM CDT this morning. For the first Heat Advisory, from 1 PM this afternoon to 8 PM CDT this evening. For the second Heat Advisory, from 1 PM to 8 PM CDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

* AFFECTED AREAS: MURRAY ... NOBLES ... PIPESTONE ... ROCK ... MOODY

Instructions:

If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1. Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.
