The Hollister Police Department is searching the south campus of the High School, which is nearest to the river, as a precaustion. The search is almost complete with no signs of any suspect venturing onto the school grounds. All students are safe and this incident appears to have occurred outside of schoolgrounds in the river bed.
The safety of the students and staff are the highest priority to law enforcement personnel and the school administration. We will provide an update as soon as one is available.
