Activity for August 26, 2024:
- Officers visited with students at several schools during the day.
- Officer Mills was dispatched to the 200 block of West Wesley Street for a domestic dispute. A 51-year-old male was arrested for domestic assault, 3rd offense.
- Officers responded to the 1500 block of Chapin Street for a weapons complaint. A 32-year-old male was arrested for felonious assault and carrying a concealed weapon.
- Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Backus Street for a personal welfare check. A 38-year-old female was transported to the hospital.
- Officers responded to Greenwood Avenue and West Biddle Street for shots fired. Casings were located in the area, and a firearm was recovered. Two suspects have been identified.
