Between Monday night and Thursday night this week (8/26-8/29), from 7:30pm to 5:00am, gas utility work will be conducted on Route 182 (Mountain Avenue) which will impact vehicular traffic. The work will require Mountain Avenue to be CLOSED between Victoria Lane and the Five Corners intersection. Little Street, Water Street, and Bells Lane will be CLOSED at Mountain Avenue and for residential access only. The Quick Chek lot at 134 Mountain Avenue will remain accessible via Bells Lane. Motorists will be detoured through East Avenue. As the work gets into the Five Corners intersection, traffic patterns will be altered to accommodate the equipment and crews needed. Please use extreme caution if traveling through the area at night, drive slow, and obey all posted signs. Officers and Traffic Flaggers will be on location to assist.
