The City of Hoboken wishes to inform the public of a time change for the dedication ceremony of the Damon Murray Community Gym. The event, initially scheduled for 2 p.m., on Aug. 29, will now begin at 5 p.m. on the same day.
During the ceremony, new exterior signage officially naming the gymnasium at 605 Jackson Street, the “Damon Murray Community Gym,” will be unveiled. An honorary plaque will also be revealed by the main entrance to the gymnasium. Additionally, Damon Murray will posthumously be made a member of the Hoboken Fire Department.
Following the dedication, local youth and families will be invited to enjoy open court time at the new “Damon Murray Community Gym,” until 7 p.m.
