A rash of thefts from the Cerro Sonoma and South Gate neighborhoods.
Petaluma Police Department is reporting a rash of thefts in the Cerro Sonoma and South Gate neighborhoods. We received more than 10 reports of vehicle burglaries and in one instance, the theft of a loved family pet, Snowy the bunny.
These thefts happened during the early morning hours of August 26th. While some cars were unlocked, some vehicles had windows broken. A resident reported that their pet bunny, Snowy, was removed from it's enclosure and the two thieves took it with them.
The resident sent us a link to the surveillance video and we encourage you to watch it and share it. If you recognize either one of the suspects, please call the Petaluma Police Department at (707) 778- 4372.
