FCPD Officers are requesting the public's assistance in identifying a suspect for passing counterfeit currency. 
On August 22, 2024, officers with the Forest City Police Department responded to Mobil Gas Station, located at 862 S. Broadway St., in reference to a person passing counterfeit currency and obtaining property by false pretenses. The suspect is a tall, slender, black male 20-35 years of age, with large dreaded/afro style hair. He was a passenger in a newer model gray Nissan sedan.
