Grosse Pointe Farms Department of Public Safety wants to inform residents that the End of Summer Bash Fireworks Display will begin at 9:00 p.m. tonight between Pier Park and the GP Yacht Club.
To enhance pedestrian safety, the vehicle entrance to Pier Park will close at 8:30 p.m. Expect heavy traffic in the area before, during, and after the fireworks show. Please seek alternative routes if traveling through the area.
Safety is always our top priority. To make sure everyone can enjoy the fireworks safely, please be aware of these precautions that will be in place:
The fireworks barge will be positioned north of Pier Park. Park visitors will have the best view of the display from the north sea wall. Spectators must stay out of the fenced area and off the asphalt pathway.
Boaters must stay out of the exclusionary zone beginning at 7:00 p.m. The U.S. Coast Guard and Wayne County Sheriff's Department will patrol the waters around the fireworks barge.
