Carlinville Fire Protection District issues Burn Ban starting August 28th 2024. 
Due to the extreme dry conditions and little to no significant moisture in the near forecast, starting August 28th, 2024, The Carlinville Fire Protection District is prohibiting open burning of any type per Open Burn Ordinance 20-02. This burn ban will be reviewed in 7 days. If conditions do not improve, the burn ban will be extended. CPFD will advise when burn ban is lifted.
