REMINDER: Damon Murray Community Gym dedication today at 5 p.m.
The City of Hoboken invites residents to the dedication ceremony of the Damon Murray Community Gym today at 5 p.m. at 605 Jackson St.
During the ceremony, new exterior signage officially naming the gymnasium the “Damon Murray Community Gym” will be unveiled, along with an honorary plaque at the main entrance. Additionally, Damon Murray will be posthumously made a member of the Hoboken Fire Department.
Following the dedication, local youth and families are welcome to enjoy open court time at the newly named gym until 7 p.m.
Labor Day closure
In observance of Labor Day, municipal offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2.
Parking meters and street cleaning will be suspended on Monday. All other parking regulations will be enforced.
Hop shuttle service will be suspended starting on Saturday, Aug. 31, through Monday, Sept. 2, due to the holiday. Hop shuttle service will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Waste collection and recycling will occur as regularly scheduled.
