Interrupted Residential Burglary
On 8/30/2024 at approximately 2:49 PM, the Petaluma Police Department Dispatch Center received a 911 call of two subjects attempting to break into an occupied home in the 1800 block of Sage Way.
Officers arrived on scene and observed the glass rear door to the home to have been smashed out. The two subjects that broke into the home are believed to have been interrupted as they saw a resident inside and fled the area on foot.
The two unidentified suspects are still outstanding, and the Petaluma Police Department is still actively investigating this incident.
One subject was described as wearing a tan hat and neon “scarf” around his neck. The second subject was described as having a face covering.
