Novato, Calif. – On Friday August 30, 2024, 1 individual was arrested for DUI. The checkpoint was held near the 1600 block of Novato Blvd. 1306 vehicles came through the checkpoint, with 67 directed to the secondary screening area.

DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints are to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
