* WHERE...Athol, Newport, Worley, Wallace, Kettle Falls, Rockford, Mullan, Fruitland, Fernwood, Dobson Pass, Chewelah, Springdale-Hunters Road, Cheney, Colville, Tiger, Schweitzer Mountain Road, Bonners Ferry, Spokane Valley, St. Maries, Coeur d'Alene, Clark Fork, Deer Park, Metaline Falls, Downtown Spokane, Metaline, Sandpoint, Post Falls, Priest River, Pinehurst, Fairfield, Fourth Of July Pass, Kellogg, Osburn, Flowery Trail Road, Hayden, Lookout Pass, Northport, Orin-Rice Road, Ione, Davenport, Airway Heights, and Eastport.

* WHEN...Until 9 PM PDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat will significantly increase the risk of heat-related illnesses for those who are sensitive to heat, especially those without effective cooling or adequate hydration.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Warmest day over the Labor Day Holiday weekend is expected to be today.

Instructions:

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
