Flood Advisory until 05:45PM

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Brown, Coleman, Concho and Runnels.

* WHEN...Until 545 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 233 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Brownwood, Coleman, Ballinger, Early, Winters, Santa Anna, Bangs, Novice, Valera, Glen Cove, Silver Valley, Talpa, Voss, Crews, Benoit, Burkett, Grosvenor, Lake Brownwood Near Thrifty, Lake Brownwood and Hatchel. - This includes the following Low Water Crossings... Indian Creek at 9th, Austin Street at Avenue G, Good Shephard at 11th, Gifford at Beaver, Magnolia at Belmeade, Willis at Belmeade, Belle Plain at Romines, Cordell at Anderson, 4th Street at Wood and Austin Street at Avenue J. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
