Flood Advisory until 08:15AM

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Brown, Callahan, Coke, Coleman, Concho, McCulloch, Runnels, Taylor and Tom Green.

* WHEN...Until 815 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 508 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated an area of slow moving moderate to heavy rain falling over an area that has already seen significant rainfall over the last 24 hours. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch per hour are expected, leading to additional totals of 1 to 2 inches in some areas. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Brownwood, Coleman, Ballinger, Early, Winters, Santa Anna, Paint Rock, Bangs, Cross Plains, Miles, Blanket, Novice, Putnam, Valera, Glen Cove, Voss, Talpa, Silver Valley, Gouldbusk and Leaday. - This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 315 and 323. This includes the following Low Water Crossings... Cordell at Anderson, Indian Creek at 9th, Willis at Belmeade, Belle Plain at Romines, Good Shephard at 11th, Gifford at Beaver, I-20 Frontage Roads near Putnam, 4th Street at Wood, Magnolia at Belmeade and Austin Street at Avenue G.
