Marion Man Charged with Common Law Forgery

Detective Grant Robinson charged 55-year-old Robert Luther Dover, Jr. of Marion with felony Common Law Forgery. This was in addition to previous charges stemming from the July 21 incident (see below) and because of a fake bill of sale with Dover’s signature. He received a $15,000 secured bond.
Detective Grant Robinson charged 55-year-old Robert Luther Dover, Jr. of Marion with felony Breaking or Entering, two counts of Larceny After Breaking or Entering and two counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretense. Dover was issued a $50,000 secured bond.
On July 21st an Old Fort resident reported two motorcycles had been stolen from a building on his property. An investigation determined Dover sold one of the motorcycles to an out of state resident. This motorcycle has been located in Tennessee. The other motorcycle has not been located. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to call Detective Robinson at 828-652-2235.
