Two people were placed under arrest after the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team assisted the Dowagiac Police Department on a traffic stop in the 100 Block of Halstead St within the City of Dowagiac. Officers found methamphetamine inside a vehicle.
The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon on September 3rd.
Officers and Detectives conducted the search after K9 Cash scent alerted on the passenger and driver's side door of a vehicle that officers had stopped.  During the search, law enforcement officers found methamphetamine and arrested the driver, 63-years-old, and the passenger, 40-years-old, and charged the pair with possession of methamphetamine.  The names of the two defendants are being withheld pending their arraignments.
The operation is a joint investigation between Cass County Drug Enforcement Team and the Dowagiac Police Department.
