Rathbone Receives Felony Charges for Marijuana
Lieutenant Chris Taylor charged 34-year-old Rusty James Rathbone of Marion with felony Manufacture of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, and felony Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance. He was given a $20,000 secured bond.
On August 15th, McDowell County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a domestic violence call in Nebo involving Rathbone. There, deputies discovered marijuana plants being grown on the property. An investigation led by Lt. Taylor and Detective Richard Pittman resulted in the charges.
