Important School Safety Message
Welcome Back to School, Haledon!
As we kick off the 2024-2025 school year, the Haledon Police Department wants to extend our warmest wishes to all students, teachers, and staff!
We encourage everyone to prioritize safety. Whether you’re walking or driving, let’s work together to keep our roads safe for our children. Remember to:
- Be aware of your surroundings
- Follow school zone speed limits and avoid blocking driveways
- Always watch for pedestrians
- Report any suspicious activity
Additionally, we are in communication with our local school administrations regarding a review of current security policies, especially concerning sporting events and gatherings. The safety of our community is our top priority.
We’re excited to continue our partnership with the schools to promote safety and community engagement this year. Our officers will be present at school events to support and protect our students and families.
Let’s make this school year the best one yet, filled with learning, growth, and teamwork! Together, we can ensure a safe environment for everyone in our community.
Here’s to a fantastic school year ahead!
