EVENT: Clo-Cow Half Marathon
LOCATION: Downtown Petaluma 
NOTICE:  Special Event Notification
ROAD CLOSURES: 5:30 am – 1:00 pm

Summary:
 
The 12^th annual Clo Cow Half Marathon is taking place on Sunday, September 22, 2024 in Downtown Petaluma. The Half Marathon features a 13.1 mile out-and-back course, starting and ending in Downtown Petaluma. In addition to the 13.1 mile course, there will also be a 10K and 5K  on the same course route.  Road closures will be in effect before, during and after the event. The road closures have been requested to enhance the safety of participants and spectators. The event is scheduled to start at 7:30 AM and ends at approximately 11:30 AM. Road closures will take effect starting at 5:30 AM until 1:00 PM if needed.
 
Road closures and times will include:

1. Kentucky St/4^th St (Between B St and Western Ave)- 5:30 am – 12:30 pm
2. Western Ave. (Between Keller St and Kentucky St)- 7:00 am - 11:30 am
3. Rolling temporary closures with the assistance of PPD and CHP Officers along Western Ave for the start of the races.

 
No parking locations and times:

1. Kentucky St/4^th St (Between B St and Western Ave)- 3:00 am – 12:30 pm
2. A St Parking Lot- 3:00 am – 12:30 pm
3. Western Ave (Westbound from Kentucky St to Webster St)- 5:30 am- 8:00 am
4. Western Ave (Eastbound from Webster St to Kentucky St)- 5:30 am – 11:00 am

 
The Police Department and the California Highway Patrol will be working this event to reasonably accommodate any traffic related issues. The Petaluma Police appreciates the public’s patience and requests those who cannot avoid the area to allow plenty of time for travel.
