One Injured in Two Vehicle Crash 
Cass County Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that on September 4th, 2024, at approximately 1143 Hours, his Deputies responded to an Injury Crash, on Oil City Rd., near M-62 Hwy, Jefferson Twp., Cass County, Michigan.
The initial investigation showed that the vehicle driven by Keith Plummer (40 YO of Vandalia MI) was traveling northbound on Oil city Rd. The Michiana trash truck driven by Matthew Snow (43 YO of Eau Claire MI), was stopped facing northbound on Oil City Rd. Plummer failed to stop for the already stopped trash truck and crashed into the rear of the truck on Oil City Rd. Plummer was transported by SMCAS ambulance to Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in this crash.
Alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to be a factor in the crash.
Assisting agencies on scene were Cass Central Fire, and SMCAS Ambulance.
The crash remains under investigation.
