REMINDER: Virtual community meeting on Rebuild by Design construction is tomorrow, Sept. 5
The City of Hoboken will host a virtual community meeting on Thursday, Sept. 5, at 6 p.m. via Zoom to provide community members with more information on the ongoing construction of the Rebuild by Design - Hudson River project which will protect Hoboken from storm surge flooding, and upcoming changes to traffic circulation near 15th and Garden Streets.
On or about Monday, Sept. 16, 15th Street from Park Avenue to Bloomfield Street will be closed to vehicular through-traffic 24/7 for approximately three months to facilitate construction of the Rebuild by Design resist structure at 15th Street and Garden Street.
Garden Street from 14th Street to 15th Street, as well as the alleyway between Garden Street and Bloomfield Street, will remain closed. Sidewalk access will be maintained on the south side of 15th Street and the west side of Garden Street.
Temporary curb use changes, such as new school pick-up and drop-off zones on Bloomfield Street and 14th Street and designated loading zones for deliveries will also be implemented.

2024 Hoboken Italian Festival road closures
The 2024 Hoboken Italian Festival will take place on Sinatra Drive from Thursday, Sept. 5, through Sunday, Sept. 8.
Sinatra Drive will be closed between Newark and Fourth Streets 24-7 until Sept. 9 at 5 a.m.
Please be advised, on Saturday there will be a procession through the streets of Hoboken, which will cause intermittent road closures starting at 12 p.m.
At 9:15 p.m. on Saturday there will be a firework display along the Hudson River at Pier A Park.
Temporary No Parking signs have been posted and Hoboken Police Officers will assist with detours during festival hours.
Access to local parking garages will be maintained.
