SUSPECT(S): Jesler Martinez Peralta, 25-year-old Resident of Van Nuys, CA

SUMMARY: On August, 3, 2024, deputies responded to a call reporting an incident that occurred in Big Bear Lake on July 6, 2024. A father reported that his 14-year-old child was molested while on vacation in Big Bear Lake. After an extensive investigation, deputies identifed the suspect as Jesler Martinez Peralta. Deputies authored a warrant for Martinez Peralta's arrest on charges of lewd and lascivious acts with a child and molestation of a child under 18.
On September 5, 2024, investigators from the Big Bear Sheriff Station's Detective Bureau located Martinez Peralta in Van Nuys, CA. Martinez Peralta was arrested for his warrant and booked into West Valley Detention Center on $100,000 bail. Martinez Peralta is scheduled to be arraigned in the San Bernardino County Superior Court on September 9, 2024.
