Denville Schools are open and back in session. Here are some important Back to School Safety reminders for drivers. Please be aware of "School Zones" that require slower speeds as you drive. Buses are out and about again, picking up and dropping off students so when the red lights flash, do not pass.
All Denville school busses are equipped with cameras that are designed to capture traffic violations. Last school year, our school bus cameras captured 108 traffic violations (improperly passing a school bus, 39:4-128.1). Each one of these traffic violations senselessly puts our children in danger.
Crosswalks in school zones will now be utilized, so please drive with care when approaching such areas. Together, we can all make a difference and keep our kids safe. Stay safe Denville and best of luck to all our Denville Students as they head back to school.
