In partnership with the New York State Attorney General’s Office the City of Amsterdam Police Department will once again be putting on a gun buy back event.
This year’s event will take place on Saturday September 21st, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. The event will take place as it has in years past at Trinity Lutheran Church located at 42 Guy Park Avenue in the City of Amsterdam. The additional funds for this year’s event are provided by the Office of the Attorney General of the State of New York. This announcement and event is in collaboration with our neighboring agencies the New York State Police, the City of Gloversville Police Department, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, the City of Johnstown Police Department, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Fort Plain Police Department, the Canajoharie Police Department, and the Office of the Montgomery County District Attorney Lorraine Diamond.
