Update Regarding the Cattle Canyon Bridge Wildfire
On Sunday, Sept. 8, the Angeles National Forest firefighters responded to a reported wildfire in the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument in the East Fork area by Cattle Canyon Bridge along Camp Bonita Road.
Evacuation Status: The threat to Duarte is considered low, and therefore no evacuations or road closures are currently taking place. If evacuation is needed, prepare and pack your essentials, and plan your route. We are encouraging residents to prepare by reviewing the "Ready! Set! Go!" brochure to help you prepare your home so you can leave early; confident that you have done everything reasonably possible to protect your home and family.

Resources Assigned: 7 crews, 21 engines, 2 dozers, 4 helicopters, and 4 fixed wing aircraft.
Air Quality: We advise residents to take the necessary precautions to protect yourself from poor outdoor air quality such as staying indoors, avoiding outdoor exercise, and if needed, wearing respirator masks when going outside.
Disruptions in City Programs (September 9): Lap swim sessions have been cancelled. Volleyball activities at Beardslee, Royal Oaks, and Valley View campuses have also been cancelled.
