On September 8, 2024, at approximately 9:25 a.m., Fremont Police Officers responded to the 6900 block of Dumbarton Circle to the report of an injured motorcyclist. Fremont PD and Fremont Fire Department arrived on scene and found the motorcyclist down and unresponsive. Fremont Fire Department administered medical aid, but the motorcyclist was ultimately pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Fremont Police Department Traffic Investigations Unit responded and assumed the collision investigation. The preliminary investigation reveals the motorcyclist was in the area to practice riding their newly purchased motorcycle. The motorcyclist was riding in a parking lot near a pathway when they veered off and struck a tree.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation, but drug or alcohol impairment does not appear to be a factor.
This is Fremont’s seventh fatal traffic collision in 2024.
