Officers were searching the area for a wanted suspect and took him into custody without incident. He was found to be in possession of multiple firearms. ARRESTED: Gerardo Gutierrez, 31, for weapons violations and an outstanding warrant.
2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (1131) Airport Way and Eighth Street, Park District
The female victim, 29, was driving in the listed area when the suspect began honking at her at a traffic light. The suspect repeatedly attempted to cut her off in his vehicle then pointed a weapon at her before fleeing. SUSPECT: White male adult.
3. Armed Robbery (1401) 700 Block of North California Street, Civic District
The victim, 30, was working in a nearby business when the suspect entered, brandished a firearm and demanded property. The suspect fled with merchandise and the victim was not injured. SUSPECT: Black male.
