Flood Watch until 07:00PM Thursday

Hurricane Francine will weaken to a post-tropical depression as lifts through Mississippi on Thursday. Outer bands of rainfall bands will enter northeast Mississippi late tonight and continue through Thursday afternoon. 3 to 5 inches rainfall may produce flooding, particularly in urban areas such as Oxford and Tupelo.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of North Mississippi, including the following areas, Calhoun, Chickasaw, Lafayette, Lee MS, Monroe, Pontotoc and Union.

* WHEN...From late tonight through Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - The remnants of tropical system Francine will likely bring 3 to 5 inches of rainfall to portions of northeast Mississippi through 7 PM CDT Thursday. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
