Advisory
Shelter In Place
At this time, a curfew is not planned for St. James Parish. If the need arises, citizens will be notified.
However, out of an abundance of caution, Parish President Pete Dufresne and Sheriff Claude Louis are asking residents to to hunker down, shelter in place, and stay off the roadways beginning at 1:00pm.
Residents are asked to remain off of roadways and to continue sheltering where you are, unless traveling to or from work.
Emergency responders and deputies will seek shelter very soon and respond to emergencies as conditions allow.
Residents should continue to monitor weather forecasts and stay informed.
