...The National Weather Service in Peachtree City GA has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Georgia... Flint River below Big Branch near Molena affecting Pike and Meriwether Counties. For the Flint River Basin...including Lovejoy, Americus, Peachtree City, Fayetteville, Peachtree City, Woolsey, Sharpsburg, Peachtree City, Peachtree City, Senoia, Griffin, Orchard Hill, Griffin, Molena, Thomaston, Carsonville, Montezuma, Byromville...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Flint River below Big Branch near Molena.

* WHEN...From this evening to early Monday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Flood stage is reached. Minor flooding of the natural flood plain near the gage location begins. Flooding continues to expand into the agricultural and wooded areas downstream from the gage near the Georgia Highway 74 bridge. Elevated homes in this location will see a foot or two of water underneath them.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:00 AM EST Saturday the stage was 20.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 29.1 feet tomorrow evening.
