Flood Advisory until 03:30AM Thursday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is ongoing.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Louisiana, including the following parishes, Ascension, Assumption, Iberville, St. James and St. John The Baptist.

* WHEN...Until 330 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1225 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported residual flooding across the area. Flooding is ongoing. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Donaldsonville, Napoleonville, Gramercy, Lutcher, Convent, Belle Rose, Paincourtville, North Vacherie, Wallace and Garyville. - This includes the following Interstate... Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 192 and 197. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
