Flood Advisory until 04:45AM

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Louisiana, including the following parishes, Assumption, Lafourche, St. Charles, St. James, St. John The Baptist and Terrebonne.

* WHEN...Until 445 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 244 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Thibodaux, Napoleonville, Lockport, Chackbay, South Vacherie, Raceland, Schriever, Gray, North Vacherie, Bayou Cane, Mathews, Des Allemands, Labadieville, Paradis, Bayou Gauche, Supreme, Boutte and Luling. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
