Flood Advisory until 05:45AM

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Louisiana, including the following parishes, Livingston, St. Tammany and Tangipahoa and southern Mississippi, including the following county, Hancock.

* WHEN...Until 545 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 246 AM CDT, trained weather spotters reported flooding in the advisory area. Between 6 and 8 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Slidell, Hammond, Bay St. Louis, Covington, Waveland, Diamondhead, Ponchatoula, Pearl River, Abita Springs, Madisonville, Springfield, Lacombe, Stennis Space Center, Pearlington, Robert, Kiln, Shoreline Park, Natalbany and Slidell Airport. - This includes the following Interstates... Interstate 10 in Mississippi between mile markers 1 and 17. Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 261 and 273. Interstate 55 in Louisiana between mile markers 20 and 31. Instructions:
