Alert
First and foremost, I want to express gratitude to God for always providing for our needs and for our community. In the aftermath of Hurricane Francine, our city has weathered the storm relatively well. I extend my heartfelt thanks to our Emergency Operations Center team, as well as all the dedicated members of the police, fire, and public works departments, and most importantly, to you, our citizens. Your patience, understanding, and the spirit of community care you have shown are truly commendable.
We are truly fortunate to have a group of committed public servants who work tirelessly to ensure the smooth functioning of our city. Our teams are currently conducting assessments to determine debris pickup requirements throughout the day. If you come across a public works crew clearing fallen trees or utility workers on duty, please exercise patience if traffic is congested, drive safely around them, and perhaps offer a friendly smile and wave of appreciation.
Thank you for being an integral part of what makes our community so special. If you need to reach me, please don't hesitate to call 225-413-6473 for a prompt response. For reporting any issues, the most efficient way is to use our public works app or dial 262-5000.
Thank you once again for your cooperation and for being a part of our great community.
Warm regards,
Mayor Wade Evans
