Police Seek Help Identifying Robbery Suspects
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspects in connection with a robbery that occurred on Sunday, September 1, 2024.
At approximately 3:20 a.m., Police patrolling the 400 block of 18th Avenue were flagged down by a man who reported that he had been robbed by three male suspects. The victim entered a convenience store in the area before being approached by one of the suspects, who grabbed him and demanded his money. The suspects took the victim’s wallet, containing his debit card and other personal belongings, while physically assaulting him.
Detectives investigating this incident describe Suspect #1 as a male wearing a white shirt, black sweatpants, black sneakers, and carrying a black book bag. Suspect #2 is described as wearing a blue shirt with white lettering on the back, red shorts, and Croc sandals. Suspect #3 was wearing a white shirt, beige or light brown pants, white and black sneakers, and was also carrying a black book bag.
